Tour Operator Liaison

Although the British - and Continental European - tourist is becoming increasingly sophisticated and confident enough to organise his holiday or short break himself, there still remains an important role for the Tour Operator - i.e. for the organisation, large or small, that ‘packages’ holidays for the greater convenience of its clients, whether individuals, families or groups.

The Tour Operator’s role is particularly important where additional services form a fundamental part of the holiday on offer. And, very importantly, in providing reassurance where the travel destination is perceived as daunting though fascinating (e.g. some parts of China).

In the new and exciting field of eco-tourism, adventure tourism, responsible tourism and fair trade tourism, the goodwill of the trusted specialist in this field is crucial.

We believe that any destination needs to work closely with the Tour Operators who bring them business or who can do so: in identifying joint opportunities, in keeping them up to date with developments and, most importantly, in providing them with the ‘arguments’ they need to sell to their own clients. Being featured in a Tour Operator’s brochure - or website - is a great way to get your destination better known and good reward for your investing time and energy on the relationship.
